Travel is all about exploring, adventure and experiencing something new. When you visit somewhere for the first time, it’s exciting! But it can also take a lot of planning and research to make sure you see everything you want to see, as well as find great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, that ‘must visit’ cronut bar/ice-cream shop etc etc. It can end up being wonderful but also a little stressful. But it doesn’t always have to be this way. When we find somewhere we love, we like to return – sometimes, again and again! Last year we visited Polignano a Mare…
It’s a tradition of ours to go away for New Year and this year we spent it in New York. We just love New York! In fact, this was our fourth time in the Big Apple so I was determined to explore a few different places and try some new restaurants. We were fortunate to purchase our flights in the British Airways Black Friday sale so we flew Business Class, which was fabulous. The last two times we flew to New York we were actually upgraded so we have experienced it before and of course it makes going back to…
I’m sure you’ll agree that 2016 has been a pretty awful year in many ways – from Brexit and Trump to saying goodbye to screen and music legends. As far back as I can remember, we’ve made our own sauerkraut and dried mushroom pierogies. Mom, grandma (Babcia) and I used to make them together – spending quite some time in the kitchen perfecting their filling and the dough (which resulted…
As we approach the end of 2015, I’d like to reflect on the year and remind myself of the amazing adventures I’ve had. I’m very lucky to be able to travel and see the world, with my husband, and I truly do believe that it makes you a more rounded and open-minded person. Experiencing new cultures opens up your eyes to what lies beyond your own little world and heightens your senses as well as your curiosity. So where did our travels take us? New Year in New York We started 2015 with a bang by celebrating New Year in…
