Five of the best Italian beaches

If you’ve read a few of my blog posts, you will probably get a sense of how much we love Southern Italy. Beautiful beaches, mouth-watering food, endless sunshine, fabulous wine…really, what’s not to love? Here are our favourite Italian beaches, in no particular order (because rating them in order would be impossible). It must be said though that the best way to experience the islands, in particular, is by boat as that way you can access the swimming spots that are not accessible by foot. London’s architectural delights

I’m very lucky to live in a city that has such history. I often walk to and from work and during my lunch break, where I try to wander down streets I’ve never been before. I think London is one of those cities where you could walk for a lifetime and still not see everything. Six great places to eat in Miami

We visited Miami in October (here are five fun things to do in Miami) and these were our favourite places to eat. In no particular order: 1. Yardbird Yardbird is a Southern bar and restaurant when chicken is the star of the show. We enjoyed it so much, we went twice. Situated in Miami Beach, close to Lincoln Mall. 2.  Sushi Samba We had lunch one day at Sushi Samba, and unlike London, did not need to book in advance. The sushi is…

Until I remembered I had a hair appointment… So where could we go in London that was somewhere new, near water that had restaurants with outdoor seating? And then I remembered, St Katherine’s Dock near the Tower of London. I’ve only been to St Katherine’s Dock once for an event and didn’t see that much of it but I remembered there were a few places to eat. So, I Googled…

A wonderful foodie weekend in Amersham

Years ago my husband and I decided to go to Amersham in Buckinghamshire on a Saturday after my friend Mandy suggested it for a day out. It’s the last stop on one of the branches of the Metropolitan line and only takes about 40 minutes from where we live. Amersham is a small market town and, as such, there are not a lot of dining options. We chose to eat lunch at a restaurant called The Artichoke. And we’ve never looked back. Over the years this restaurant has seen key moments in our life. We first went before we were…
