All aboard the Franschhoek wine tram!

A tram that’s a hop-on hop-off tour of wine farms. Need I say more? If you’re visiting Cape Town, then this is a must! We were staying in Franschhoek for three nights so it was very easy for us to get the tram, however they do offer an exclusive and direct transfer from Cape Town and surrounding areas (including the airport). Franschhoek is roughly just under an hour away from Cape Town so it makes a great day out to experience the beautiful winelands. Also, return transfers start at only R550 per person. If you value beautiful, lovingly sourced, handmade items for either yourself or as a gift then look no further than Crafty Foxx. I genuinely love Lian’s designs and engaged with some of her tweets and then she asked if I’d like to review one of her prints. Of course I jumped at the chance! But I didn’t just want to do a review, I…

When we went in March we only stayed in Cape Town but this time we chose to stay in Franschhoek for three nights to experience the beautiful winelands once again. The first time we visited Franschhoek, a few years ago, we stayed at the luxurious The Last Word. This time we chose to stay in a cottage and booked Cottage 42 through AirBnB. The cottage was located on a quiet street and…

It’s sort of become a bit of a tradition now to take him for a weekend away for his birthday present. It’s great because I get to enjoy it too! This year I chose Brighton as it’s close to London (one hour by train), it’s got a lovely seafront (although we went in October) and we hadn’t been to Brighton together since 2007. We stayed at the luxurious Grand Hotel, right on the seafront. It was built in 1864…
